Loans to Russian farmers rise 29% to 500 bln rbl as of Aug 17

MOSCOW, Aug 23 (PRIME) -- Russian banks increased crediting to the agricultural producers for the seasonal field works by 29% on the year to 500.4 billion rubles as of August 17, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Russian Agricultural Bank provided 370.7 billion rubles worth of loans, while Sberbank disbursed 129.7 billion rubles of loans.
